Well, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus looks like a Terry Gilliam movie, which is to say, both gorgeous and incoherent:
But I'm not sure I think it's going to be watchable, except on a day when I am deeply exhausted and need not to think too hard, just sink into something. I like things that are beautiful, but I don't always like being visually bombarded. Just a personal preference. And I don't know having four actors playing a single role will work. I have to say, I feel like there's something a tiny bit ghoulish about Johnny Depp, stepping into part of Heath Ledger's role, declaring at one point in the trailer that "Nothing's permanent. Not even death." And while I'm always intrigued by deals with the devil (even though I find the concept of stolen young women problematic and a little tiresome), I think I want a Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell movie. I'm not sure I want this.
