People I Like: Ice-T Edition
There is, of course, absolutely no denying that Ice-T's career is somewhat schizophrenic. To go from making "Cop Killer" to playing a gruff, sympathetic sex crimes cop with a gay son on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is quite the trajectory. He's married to a glamour model. There's not a ton of coherence anywhere in that mix, but I can't help myself. I just really like the guy. Whether he's talking about rocking curlers in his hair, or showing up in pink Versace, Ice-T seems to roll through life pursuing his pleasure where he finds it, in whatever form he likes it. He's 51 now, and he seems to have settled into a mild roguishness. It's not a bad place for anyone to find themselves in middle age. And Ice-T seems to particularly deserved to have arrived there.
