I know, I know, my long-delayed second big Star Wars post is, uh, delayed.  I'm sorry.  But I did want to pop up to say I'm not inextricably opposed to the idea of a comedy series set in the universe, especially if Seth Green is involved.  The thing I will write about, when I get to it, is that the Star Wars universe genuinely is a huge, rich, constantly surprising place, and that's why it's been able to thrive independent of George Lucas's creation. And certainly some setups, like former Corellian Security officers interacting with smugglers because, hey, they're dating the smugglers' daughters, are pretty funny.  But the show will only work if it derives its humor from the internal logic of the universe, instead of if transplanting sitcom tropes to A Galaxy Far, Far Away, say by trying to be, say, How I Met Your Mother, but with Jagged Fel as Ted.  Actually, now that I think about that, I would totally watch that.
