Much in the vein of "All the Lovers," Kylie Minogue's video for "Get Outta My Way"* has lots of pretty people in very stretchy outfits that don't cover much of their bodies. But unlike "All the Lovers," this video isn't trying to mean anything, or even to portray a particular vision of love and sexual desire. And I think it works a lot better. It's just a dance video, but it's artfully shot and particularly artfully lit, and if the bodies involved are just in motion, they're in pleasant and artful motion. The songs are nice counterparts to each other, too, the first wildly romantic, the second a biting kiss-off to a former lover. I think the video for the latter fits better than the video for the first, but it's a matter of execution, not misapprehension.
*I'd embed, but Parlophone seems particularly cranky about embedding. It's an odd strategy since they don't really run ads on their video pages, and just have short text squibs for related albums. I'd vote for distribution, but that's just little ol' bloggy me.
