Really?

I have absolutely no idea what the appeal of Yellow Submarine is without the Beatles. If anyone can explain it to me, I would be happy to listen, but I admit I'll start from a point of severe skepticism. I didn't like Yellow Submarine the one time I watched it during my first round of childhood Beatlemania, but it's entirely possible that I didn't understand it, or didn't get the artistic interest of trippiness. But I think it's equally possible that it's just a bit of a mess. There's nothing of the joy or loneliness of A Hard Day's Night in it.
