In addition to
writing buddy comedies for Vince Vaughn and Peyton Manning, I've always thought it would be incredibly fun to cut and score trailers for movies (in fact, the trailers that Cameron Diaz imagines for her life were basically the only part about her half of
The Holiday that I enjoyed. The other half of the movie, in which Jack Black romances Kate Winslet as she becomes friends with
Eli Wallach, is delightful.). And so I really enjoyed the use of
Ladytron's "Destroy Everything You Touch," in the trailer for Anna-Wintour-takedown
The September Issue. It's a decision that falls in the "funny 'cause it's sort of true" category, and shows an admirable wit on the part of whoever put the trailer together.
