Songs for a Monday in August

I knew Daoud Tyler-Ameen a tiny bit back in college, which is to say we haven't talked in years and I'm certain he wouldn't recognize me now. But he was a really good writer back then, and the lyrics he's writing now, as Art Sorority for Girls, are fantastic. Anyone who can write a totally sunny song about the despair of trying to become an author, and work the line "He tried to be a writer, but instead of he only fact-checks," is highly recommended.
